Outdoor Team Activities
Many of these outdoor pursuits and teambuilding activities can be combined as superb team challenge events and outdoor team journeys, multi-activity events or offered singly as an experiential taster created especially for your company or organisation.
Outdoor activities range from constructing a raft that can survive Class III rapids to helping high school kids build robots. Employees play a game of baseball, zoom around town on a scavenger hunt, show off al fresco cooking skills, or bike as a team for a cause. In the process, they learn to interact with each other to overcome challenges such as solving a puzzle in a game of scavenger hunt across the town; learning survivor skills such as building a temporary shelter, lighting a fire, and finding food in a deserted area; or learning (as a team) to construct and navigate a wooden raft in a stretch of white water.
The goal of a team-building activity is to complete a task efficiently and effectively by working together in harmony.
Organizations that consist of high-performance teams have better products, smarter processes, shorter time-to-market, lower employee attrition rates and higher productivity.
Outdoor activities provide a neutral, safe and fun environment for employees to understand and bridge differences arising from gender, age, race, and sexual orientation.
Effective programs help transfer the benefits of outdoor team-building activities back to day-to-day tasks in the organization. |
